Sing with the Schiller Institute NYC Chorus!
Our mission is to promote harmony and peace by bringing together a dialogue of cultures through classical and traditional music.
One thing we know for sure: 2026 will be a tumultuous year of change.
And we know how important it is to sing beautiful and profound music in times of crisis. Classical music is a universal language that connects us at the higher level of humanity as a single immortal species. And that connection now to one humanity can make the difference for a better 2026.
We're a community chorus, and all are welcome and encouraged to join--from experienced to hardworking beginners. Just sign in below, and we'll get back to you soon!
Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings in the Lincoln Center neighborhood. We will work on Beethoven's Choral Fantasia, Op. 80 and a selection of Spirituals for a May Concert. As of December 2025, we are at about 70 members and would like to be at 100 or more by summer for the 9/11 Memorial Concert featuring both Beethoven's 9th (Choral) Symphony and Brahms' Nänie, a song of lament.
For more information, call or text John, 201-233-8615. Hard working beginners welcome!
