Lincoln Center "Your Voices" project
Schiller Institute NYC Chorus participated in an outdoor Lincoln Center Project called "Your Voices" from December 6th to 18th, 2022.
Over half a dozen choruses performed international music atop a kinetic sculpture in Lincoln Center’s Josie Robertson Plaza, commissioned by Moët & Chandon, and designed by British contemporary English Artist and Stage Designer, Es Devlin.
A Dialogue for Peace
On June 26, 2022, the Schiller Institute Chorus presented Dialogue for Peace, a concert of traditional and classical music from Russia, Poland, Ukraine, China, Spain, and America, along with J.S. Bach's Partita No. 4 in D Major, BWV 828: II. Allemande and the Kyrie section of Bach's Great B Minor Mass.Read more
9/11 Outdoor Memorial Vigil 2022 at Battery Park
On Friday, September 9th, 2022, the Schiller Institute NYC Chorus hosted a Remembrance of the 9/11 attack beside the Irish Hunger Memorial two blocks from Ground Zero in Lower Manhattan. The event was dedicated to the victims of the 9/11/2001 attack and to the first responders who risked their lives to rescue literally hundreds of thousands of people. Of the nearly 3,000 fatalities on that day, one out of seven was a first responder, including 343 FDNY firefighters, and 60 NYPD and PAPD police officers.Read more
2021 Alexandrov Ensemble Memorial Concert
On Wednesday, December 29th, 2021, the Schiller Institute NYC Chorus presented a tribute to the Alexandrov Ensemble with a ceremonial program and musical offerings, five years after the tragic Christmas Day, 2016, air crash which killed everyone on board. Presiding over the solemn event was Captain Randy Geis, City of Bayonne Fire Department. Invocation was given by Reverend Dorothy Patterson, Bayonne, NJ.
Gloria In Excelsis Deo: Bach & Vivaldi Christmas Concert
On December 19th, 2021, we presented our first all-live concert, with orchestra and (limited) audience since 2019. Broadcast live from Good Shepherd-Faith Church near Lincoln Center, it was a great success, and so nice to have a full al--live concert after two long years!!
